Gemtech Coatings is a full service metal finishing facility located in Santa Ana, CA that has been proudly serving the Orange County and Los Angeles areas’ metal finishing needs since 1976. Our 25,000 square foot facility is conveniently located off the 55 freeway in Santa Ana. We are Nadcap certified and offer services including powder coating, primer and topcoat, ceramic coating, dry film lube, sand and media blasting, silk screening and pad printing. We pride ourselves on providing the best metal finishing in the industry with competitive prices and quick turnaround. We are set up to handle jobs of all sizes and shapes; there is no job too big or too small for our team to handle!

Services We Offer
Powder Coating
This process uses very fine dry particles of resin with the pigment color of your choice. The resin powder is applied with a spray gun, similar in concept to applying solvent based paint. The powder adheres to metal before baking at 400 degrees Fahrenheit in industrial sized ovens. The result is a beautiful finish in the sheen of your choice that is resistant to chemicals, wear and chipping.
Primer & Topcoat
Gemtech carries a wide variety of aerospace and defense paints. We also work closely with our suppliers on non-stock paints to ensure competitive pricing and lead times. Our staff uses skillful painting methods to provide comprehensive and accurate application of primers, topcoats and dry film lube. Our well trained staff follows organized systems to ensure all parts are being processed per specification. Our multiple spray booths and ovens can accommodate small and large volume orders.
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating is an epoxy based coating that provides a layer of protection for parts that are exposed to extreme temperatures. It stabilizes metal temperature, extending the life of coated parts. Ceramic coatings also protect parts from oxidation.
We work closely with our suppliers to provide a variety of colors and finishes. Our experienced staff will work hard to coat your parts to meet industry standards.
Dry Film Lube
Dry film lubricants are protective coatings for parts that rub against one another. They offer chemical resistance, excellent corrosion protection and display a long wear of life. Dry film lubricants are a favored coating for parts exposed to corrosive atmospheres and where permanent lubrication is desired. DFL’s can be coated to specified thicknesses.
Media Blasting
Our onsite media blasting ensures a clean, prepared surface prior to coating. It ensures a quality bond during coating for years of protection.
Screen & Pad Printing
If you are looking to add your logo or graphics to your finished products, we offer in-house screen and pad printing services. Our knowledgeable staff can work with you to find the best graphics solution to fit your needs.
Custom Powder Coated Signs (FullMetal Imaging)

Other Services
